Yesterday was such a good day for me, I got an extra couple hours of work in, a really nice call from a guy I’m trying to book on campus next year and a boy asked me to lunch today! :)
Going back to the guy I’m trying to book: I was sitting around at work waiting for my shift to start and I got a phone call from a phone number I didn’t recognize. With just getting a new phone I thought it might be a friend I had forgotten to put into it so I answered. This guy was on the other end and he introduced himself. He said he didn’t realize it was my personal phone and he apologized for that because he was hoping it was an office number where he could reach my boss because he wanted to let her know that the e-mail he received from me the previous day was the “most professional e-mail he has ever read from a college student and wanted to let me and my boss know that he is impressed and would love to work with us.” (!) Super exciting and it made my entire day because from my point of view that was the least professional, most Alicia e-mail I have ever written in my life. Which is saying something because with my personality I don’t even want to know how it came off in an e-mail to make it seem professional.
Next I was texting this guy that I’ve been talking to for a while and he asked me out yesterday after this very flattering phone call. We are going to lunch today before work and I’m super excited. :)
It was just a good day for me and I hope it continues because I’ve got a paper due Tuesday and I’ll need all the amazing-ness that these past two days have brought me in order to complete it on time.
That’s all for now, I’m off to get ready for my date!
Wow. I can’t believe how busy my life has gotten right now! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I found a boy, he’s perfect for me and I hope that we get to hang out more after school is over with for the semester. I’m almost done with school for the semester! (13 days) It’s been crazy and fun and has gone by way too fast. I’m not ready for it to be over but here it comes, ready or not. I’ve got a new phone, a great car, great friends, and 3 amazing jobs and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Also, I just got accepted to an EMT program that starts Jan 14th! I won’t be taking any classes for it right away but this summer that will be my main focus. For now, I will just be taking the CPR class and a composition course. The biggest news is that I have a new brother! His name is Alex and he is a rascal. And last, but not least, I became an ordained minister! I can legally perform weddings, funerals, last rights and refer to myself as a Reverend or Minister. (Although, I can’t perform marriages until 3 weeks from tomorrow, my 21st birthday). But still, it’s a pretty cool fact and once I graduate I can tell people I’m an ordained EMT with a Small Business degree from St. Kate’s. haha My life seems to be going in all different types of directions but I’m really happy right now and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
